Mercedes was founding member of Colectivo Zeta Danza which is a very active contemporary dance group from her hometown Quito. Her collaboration as dancer in this group started in 2010 until 2018. This group was exploring different combinations between dance, theatre, and performance art for each project. Their artistic work had different sources of interest, being gender and migration the more present.
Independently, Mercedes has collaborated with many choreographers in different projects such as musicals, instant composition, theatre, and live performance.
